The SEC BeachFest and a Golf Tournament—It’s All Happening This August!

If you love golf, and you love the beach, and (naturally) you love a good golf vacation at the beach, then there are several happenings you’ll want to take note of for this summer.

First, there’s the SEC BeachFest, which is taking place August 15^th – 18^th in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach. SEC football fans, you’ll want to check this one out—it’s basically a weekend-long kickoff party to celebrate the start of the SEC football season. Not only will legendary SEC coaches and players be present at this event, but several other events will take place in conjunction with the beach fest.

 

Which brings us to the next noteworthy event: the SEC BeachFest Golf Scramble. Scheduled for August 15^th – 17^th, this golf tournament will take place at Craft Farms, Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club, and Gulf Shores Golf Club. The fee to enter the tournament ($1200 per foursome) will get you two rounds of golf (plus an additional round at Kiva Dunes if your foursome qualifies for finals), four tickets to the SEC BeachFest, two days of complimentary breakfast and lunch, gift bags, and more.

August Brings Golf and Concerts in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach

What if you could play golf in the morning, walk the beach and swim in the Gulf in the afternoon, and attend a concert in the evening? Book an August golf vacation in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach and you’ll have plenty of chances to do just that. Several music events are scheduled for August, so it’s a good month to make a great vacation out of golf and music.

On August 6th, Kelly Clarkson and The Fray, with special guest Carolina Liar, are playing at The Wharf Amphitheater. Then on August 17th is Jason Mraz with special guest Christina Perri, also at The Wharf Amphitheater. Later in the month, on August 25th, you can catch Lynyrd Skynyrd with special guests Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Drake White. All three concerts are sure to be amazing ways to end an already great day of Gulf Coast golf!

And let’s not forget about the SEC BeachFest taking place August 23rd to 26th. Not only will there be live concerts at Gulf Shores Public Beach, but you’ll also get to see past and present SEC coaches and players, ESPN commentators, a fashion show, and a golf tournament.
